Thank you for taking the time to consider becoming a Van Camping member. I created the Van Camping member site as a way to support the creation of my content. In the past, I have relied mainly on YouTube monetization, Patreon, and sponsors to support me financially, and though this did work, it was precarious. Like many creators, I found myself in a position where I was pushing quantity over quality to keep up with the algorithm. Your subscription makes it possible for me to refocus my attention on making high-quality outdoor films.

A lot of effort goes into creating engaging, high-quality content for YouTube. You can pick an inexpensive camcorder or mobile phone and make a video for YouTube with little to no effort. Still, I am trying to produce a viewing experience that engages the viewer and makes them feel like they are a part of the adventure. To carry out this, I have spent many hours researching filmmaking techniques and have invested in my camera and sound gear. I want to continue to push my filmmaking to new levels and turn my passion into a viable living. The revenue generated from the members' website is a tremendous help to making that dream a reality.

Annual Camp Outs
Every year I host a Winter Camp out. These campouts are a lot of fun and a great way to meet other like-minded individuals. So many folks who come to campouts end up meeting new friends they explore with throughout the year.

As a member, you also gain access to the members-only Forum. The Forum is a safe place to share information or ask questions free from trolls. It is my goal to have this be more than just a way for me to make a living. I want it to become a community of outdoor enthusiasts that enjoy sharing and helping others.
